Colorado sets its 2014 contribution rates

Contribution rates in Colorado for 2014 fall under the Standard Premium Rate Schedule providing for reserve ratios from “0.004 to 0.006.” These rates range from 0.66% to 3.79% for positive employers and from 4.87% to 8.90% for negative employers, with unrated employers paying 4.03%. The base rates for new employers in 2014 are as follows: 1.7%, nonconstruction; 6.49%, general construction; 8.90%, heavy construction; and 6.49%, trades. The bond-principal charge in 2014 is 22.19% of each subject employer’s base premium rate and the interest rate is 0.00147% (DLE Communication).
