The Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) is soliciting comments on the proposed extension of the collection of information included in the Alternative Method of Compliance for Certain Simplified Employee Pensions (SEPs) regulation (ERISA Reg. §2520.104-49). No changes are being proposed or made to the regulation at this time. SEPs are pension plans subject to the reporting and disclosure requirements of Title I of ERISA. The regulation is intended to relieve sponsors of non-model SEPs from ERISA's Title I reporting and disclosure requirements by prescribing an alternative method of compliance.
Written comments should be received on or before June 21, 2011 and directed to G. Christopher Cosby, Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration, 200 Constitution Avenue NW., Washington, DC 20210, Phone: (202) 693-8410, FAX: (202) 693-4745.
