The Colorado Department of Labor and Enforcement, Labor Standards, will hold a hearing on proposed rule changes November 6, 2009, at the Division of Labor, to determine amendments to existing rules for Colorado Minimum Wage Order No. 26 (7 CCR 1103-1). If adopted, the state minimum wage effective January 1, 2010, would decrease to $7.24 per hour, with a minimum wage for tipped employees of $4.22 per hour, to reflect decreases in the cost of living.
The Colorado Minimum Wage Order regulates wages, hours and working conditions and procedures for certain employers and employees for work performed in Colorado in the following industries: Retail and Service; Commercial Support Service; Food and Beverage; and Health and Medical.
The hearing on the proposed changes to the minimum wage for the 2010 wage order will be held at the Division of Labor, 633 17th Street, Suite 200, Denver, CO 80202.
