U.S. Master™ Wage-Hour Guide, 2009 Edition ![]()
Presents a first approach to the broad and complex controls under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other statutes regulating employee wages and hours.
The Oregon Department of Revenue (DOR) reminds employers that, effective for the 2009 calendar year, all payroll service providers and businesses with 250 or more employees are required to report W-2 personal income tax information electronically. Paper W-2s or other forms of media will not be accepted. The deadline for filing the 2009 W-2s is March 31, 2010. The DOR will follow the same file specifications for the W-2 information as the Social Security Administration.
Employers that do not use a payroll service and have fewer than 250 employees may elect to file their 2009 W-2s electronically, but will be required to file electronically starting with 2010 forms. Small employers (less than 50 employees) may also elect to file their 2009 W-2s electronically, but will be required to file electronically starting with 2011 forms. (Release, Oregon Department of Revenue, June 1, 2009.)
