SSA announces renewal of existing computer matching program with the IRS

In accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act, the SSA has issued a notice announcing the renewal of an existing computer matching program that it is currently conducting with the Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The program becomes effective May 11, 2015.

Computer matching program with IRS (Match 1305)

The purpose of this matching program is to set forth the terms, conditions, and safeguards under which the IRS will disclose to the SSA certain information for the purpose of verifying eligibility for or the correct subsidy percentage of benefits provided under Section 1860D–14 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395w–114), which pertains to subsidies for low-income individuals.
