Provides a comprehensive and detailed explanation for the federal old-age, survivor's and disability insurance segments of the Social Security program.
President George Bush has transmitted to Congress for its approval an agreement on Social Security that was signed last year with the Kingdom of Denmark. The agreement, similar to agreements in force with 21 other countries, provides for limited coordination between the United States and Denmark to eliminate dual Social Security coverage and taxation and to help prevent the loss of benefit protection that can occur when workers divide their careers between the two countries. The agreement was signed on June 13, 2007, in Copenhagen.
