




Social Security Explained, 2011 Edition
Provides a comprehensive and detailed explanation for the federal old-age, survivor's and disability insurance segments of the Social Security program.
The Social Security Administration is soliciting comments from the public regarding one information gathering activity currently pending with the agency prior to submission for clearance by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
Specifically, the SSA wants feedback on the need for the information solicited; its practical utility; the accuracy of the agency's burden estimate; ways to enhance the quality, utility and clarity of the manner in which the information is collected; and ways to minimize the burden on respondents, including the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology. The information gathering activity for which comments are sought is listed in the notice appearing in the January 28, 2010, issue of the Federal Register (75 Fed. Reg. 4606). Comments may be mailed or faxed to the addresses and numbers listed in the notice.
