Rhode Island announces its 2009 UI/TDI taxable wage bases

The taxable wage base in Rhode Island for unemployment insurance purposes will be $18,000 for 2009. This represents a $4,000 increase from the 2008 amount of $14,000. The Temporary Disability Insurance (TDI) taxable wage base for 2009 will rise to $56,000, up $1,600 from the 2008 amount of $54,400 (DLT Communication).
