5500 Preparer's Manual for 2012 Plan Years

The Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) is soliciting comments on the proposed extension of the information collection provisions of ERISA Reg. §2550.408b-1, which deals with loans to plan participants and beneficiaries who are parties in interest with respect to the plan.
The information collection request relates to the provisions plan documents must include in order for a plan to make loans to participants. The request is scheduled to expire on October 31, 2010. The Labor Department is not proposing any changes to the existing information collection request at this time.
Written comments on the request should be submitted on or before October 22, 2010 and directed to: G.
