Ohio local tax rates: November election results

Discussed below are the uncertified results of the recent Ohio elections on city and school district income tax issues. The results below are the preliminary results. In cases where the results are very close, a recount is possible after the results are certified in the coming weeks. THESE RESULTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Cities:

Amherst City voters have approved the replacement of a 0.5% income tax that ends December 31, 2010, with another 0.5% income tax that begins January 1, 2010, for nine years.

Beaverdam Village voters have approved a 1% income tax beginning January 1, 2010.

Cambridge City voters have approved a 0.5% income tax beginning January 1, 2010.

Findlay City voters have approved a 0.25% income tax beginning January 1, 2010. The total tax rate will be 1.25%.

Montpelier Village voters have approved the continuation of a 0.3% income tax.

Ontario City voters have approved a 0.5% income tax beginning January 1, 2010. The total tax rate will be 1.5%.

Twinsburg City voters have approved a 2.25% income tax beginning January 1, 2010.

Versailles Village voters have approved the renewal of a 0.5% income tax beginning January 1, 2010, for five years.

Wakeman Village voters have approved the continuation of a 1% income tax for five years.

Woodmere Village voters have approved a 0.5% increase in the income tax beginning January 1, 2010. The total income tax rate will be 2.5%.

School Districts:

Bernie Union (LSD) voters have approved the renewal of a 1% income tax beginning January 1, 2011, for five years.

Cedar Cliff (LSD) voters have approved a 0.25% income tax beginning January 1, 2010, for 28 years.

Columbus Grove (LSD) voters have approved the renewal of a 0.75% income tax beginning January 1, 2011, for five years.

Covington (EVSD) voters have approved the renewal of a 1.25% income tax beginning January 1, 2011, for five years.

Danville (LSD) voters have approved the renewal of a 1.25% income tax beginning January 1, 2010, for five years.

Elmwood (LSD) voters have approved the renewal of a 0.5% income tax beginning January 1, 2011, for five years. Voters also approved the renewal of a 0.75% income tax beginning January 1, 2012, for five years.

Jennings (LSD) voters have approved the renewal of a 0.75% income tax beginning January 1, 2011, for five years.

Monroeville (LSD) voters have approved a 1.5% income tax beginning January 1, 2010.

National Trail (LSD) voters have approved the renewal of a 0.75% income tax beginning January 1, 2011, for five years.

North Fork (LSD) voters have approved the renewal of a 1% income tax beginning January 1, 2011, for three years.

Triad (LSD) voters have approved the renewal of a 0.5% income tax beginning January 1, 2011, for five years.
