The 2009 Directory provides the “vital statistics” of hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal (TSD) facilities in the United States, including
the categories of wastes accepted, treatment method(s) offered, and permitting status.

EPA Proposes to Add Pharmaceuticals to Universal Waste Rule

On December 2, 2008 (73 FR 73520-73544), EPA proposed adding pharmaceuticals to the universal waste rule.

SPCC Requirements Revised

On January 15, 2009 (74 FR 2461-2465), EPA proposed to exempt certain milk containers and associated piping and appurtenances from spill prevention, control, and countermeasures (SPCC) requirements.
