Setting your search preferences

You can set certain search options within Preferences so that they will be used for all searches you run.

To return your search preferences to the default settings, click the Restore Default Settings button at the bottom of the Preferences Search Options tab. Then click Yes to restore the defaults. The Clear Selections link does not restore default settings. It only clears selections you made on the Search Tools template.

TipYou can temporarily override your Search Preferences by clicking the Search Tools button on the button bar and selecting options to override. See Adding Power to your Search: Search Tools.
