When you know the number or citation of a document, you can find that document immediately by doing a Citation Search. To do a Citation Search, you simply select the publication that contains the document you want to retrieve and then type the citation number on the Citation Search Template.
You can also
enter a complete citation in the word search box on the navigation bar
to retrieve the cited document.
Select the appropriate tab.
Select the item that contains the document you want to retrieve by clicking the checkbox next to it.
Click the Find by Citation button. The Citation Search Template will appear. You will see all the citation formats available for the item you selected.
In the field next to the appropriate citation format, type the number of the citation.
Click the Search button to the left of the box. The document will appear on your screen.
From within a
document, you can highlight a citation in text and go right to that document.
With the text highlighted, place your mouse cursor over the Find
by Citation button, and the Quick Link box opens with the citation
automatically pasted in. Press Enter
to find the citation.
The Citation Search Template also includes a "free form" citation line at the top of the template so that you can type your citation right on the line if you already know the official citation, e.g., or Nat'l Labor Rel. Act ยง8.
You can also click the link at the very bottom of the Citation Search Template to view all possible citation formats for all libraries.
