Cash Balance Plans After The PPA: Is There A Future?
Thursday, October 19, 2006
2 pm ET, 1 pm CT

CCH is proud to present the audio conference Cash Balance Plans After The PPA: Is There A Future? Thursday, October 19, 2006,
2-4 pm ET, 1-3 pm CT.

This is your chance to get comprehensive information on Cash Balance Plans that have been significantly impacted by the Pension Protection Act of 2006 ("PPA"). The status of cash balance plans as a viable retirement plan option has been questionable since the federal district court in Cooper v. The IBM Personal Pension Plan and IBM Corp., ruled that IBM’s cash balance pension plan violated federal age discrimination laws. With the enactment of the PPA, plan sponsors have been given prospective relief from age discrimination claims for hybrid plans, including cash balance plans, that comply with the Act.

Presenters with Dan Schwallie, Paul Rangecroft and Barbara J. Hogg will provide you with knowledge of the provisions of the PPA that impact cash balance plans, as well as a discussion of what the practical impact of the new rules will be on the plans you sponsor or administer.

Topics to be covered include:

You will have the opportunity to ask questions of our speakers LIVE. And you will have 60 day access to a streamed audio recording of the event, a $249 value.

Join us for 2 hours on October 19 for this instructive and practical broadcast.
